I’m a big music fan, and even though everyone has moved on to streaming their music instead of buying physical media, I still like to have physical copies. There are some things that just don’t come with streaming, such as lyric books and special artwork that is only included with physical releases. I also like the fact that I own that physical copy and the songs that are on it can never be taken away. I wanted to buy an album one, but it was quite expensive because it was rare. I had to use the Bitcoin Evolution app to trade some of my bitcoin for money to buy the album.
To make matters worse, the album wasn’t just for sale, it was an auction sale. For a period of time, the item was available for bids, and when time was up, the highest bidder would be able to make a final purchase for the album. I’ve never been good at bidding for things online. Usually when I place a bid, someone will come along and outbid me at the last minute, resulting in someone else getting the item. At least 20 people had already bid on the album when I found it, resulting in the high price.
I watched the item closely while the timer ticked down for the auction to end. The bids slowed down for a while but once the final minute of the auction came, the bids ramped back up. I didn’t want to lose like I did those other times in the past, so I put out one final bid and hoped that it would be enough to prevent the other people from outbidding me. Luck was on my side that day, because I made the winning bid. The album was finally mine, and once it was shipped, it became part of my collection.
